Common faults and troubleshooting of padlock

The padlock is widely used in daily life. Since the parts are enclosed in the lock body, there is no need to install them during use, so there are few failures. If the padlock is used outdoors for a long time, the lock core and the lock beam will not jump.
1. The lock does not turn
The failure of the lock core not rotating often occurs in the padlock that is locked outside the door for a long time and not often opened. The padlock has been exposed to wind and rain for a long time. Rust and dirt accumulated between the lock core and the lock body prevent the lock core from rotating.
Before troubleshooting, carefully check whether the key held is the key of the lock, and then troubleshoot after confirming it.
The way to eliminate it is to add a little diesel or gasoline, wait for a moment, and then insert the key to test drive. If it cannot be turned on, add more diesel or gasoline, soak it for a longer time, and gently turn it back and forth with the key until it is fully turned on. Do not use too much force to break the key.
In addition, the lock does not rotate due to the damage of the key tooth. At this time, carefully look for the damaged part of the tooth flower. If the damage is small, the lock can still be opened after repair; If the damage is serious, find another spare key to unlock.
2. The key insertion and removal are not flexible
The key has been used for a long time and cannot be inserted and pulled out flexibly. You can sprinkle some pencil powder {graphite} in the key hole, and then switch it on and off several times. Never add oil lubrication to the key hole, which will affect the movement of the marbles and cause unexpected opening failure.
3. Locking beam does not jump
The failure of the lock beam is mostly caused by the excessive shape and position tolerance of the lock beam. The lock beam and one side of the lock beam hole are scraped and squeezed. In addition, rust and dirt deposit make the lock beam unable to jump.
Troubleshooting: insert the key into the lock core, turn it to the open position and hold it still, gently knock the lock body down with a small hammer or pull down the lock body with force. If it can't be opened, add a little gasoline or diesel to the lock beam, and then gently knock it until the lock beam jumps out. After the lock beam jumps out, use a soft hammer to correct the lock beam, and can continue to use after repair.
4. The key is broken into the lock body
The failure of the lock body of the padlock when the key is disconnected occurs frequently, and the troubleshooting method should be determined according to the disconnection situation.
(1) The key is cut into the lock body from the root, and a section is left at the lock center. Use tweezers or tools such as pointed-nose pliers to clamp out.
(2) The key is broken into the lock core from the middle and cannot be shaken out. In this case, the only way is to remove the seven-hole seal on the lock body, shake the marbles out, take out the lock core and the broken key together, then reload the lock core and marbles, and seal them with aluminum wire.
